How did you pick your baby furniture?
charlie asked:
It seems all the pieces I like you can only buy online. My husband is sort of weird about buying things online that you can’t see & feel before hand.
How did you buy your baby furniture & big items? In the stores or online? Were you happy with what you got?

Most of the stuff i bought online… it gives full descriptions and sizes on the websites, but I do understand my Husband and Father are the same way, about viewing it first- must be a man thing
We went to just about every store and looked online for reviews on items we thought were potentially good. We shook more cribs than I can count on my hands. The crib decided the rest of the furniture though since he spends more time in there and it has to be safe.
We picked out our baby furniture in the store (Babies R Us). They ordered the pieces and had them sent to our home. We are very happy with it.
I agree with your husband… you can’t see the quality of an item from a picture.
i got a crib and a dresser at ikea
I bought my crib and changing table from the Baby Superstore live I was very happy with it and it served both of my boys and has now been sold to another at a garage sale.
I bought all of my daughter’s furniture online (Babies R Us). Didn’t have a problem with any of it and love all the pieces. I got the matching crib, armoire and changing table/stand. I also got the rocker/glider from BRU online as well.
The crib that I have is also the one that grows with the child, up to a full-size bed.
I used my old vanity as a changing table, went to the used baby store and got the same crib I saw at Babies R Us for $150, used for $60. I use Babies R Us to research those big items, then find them online for cheaper if I can.
I bought the crib and changing table/dresser from JCPenney catalog. I was confident that the quality would be good because of the company, and it is. And had we needed to return anything we could have returned it to the local store rather than having to ship it back.
Finding a company that you feel is known for quality is a good idea. Check, then double check, the company’s return policy. Send them an email and see how long it takes to get a response to test their customer service.
